For the PC you are working on, sign into finPOWER - Tools, User, PPSR then click on the Verify button.  If you receive the message - 403 Status "Forbidden" - please proceed as below.

Here is a summary in regards to the PPSR outage with finPOWER 5 and a couple of workarounds. 

Around the 20th September 2016 something changed so that requests to the NZ PPSR Production site from finPWOER 5 stopped working.  finPOWER 5 errors with a 403 status "Forbidden".

This appears to be an issue with Windows 8 and higher.  From Windows 8.1 this TLS 1.2 protocol for Cryptographic Communications is ENABLED by default.  There is no know issues with finPOWER running PPSR registrations on Window 7 PCs.

Note:  The NZ PPSR test site works, but still used the TLS 1.1 protocol for communications.  We are unsure as to why Test if different from Production.

For you to proceed we recommend you contact your Hardware supplier and work in conjunction with your HHA Support Person.  You will need to repeat the process below for each PC affected.

Confirming that there is a known problem with finPOWER 5 users on Windows 8 and Windows 10.  As a work around you may have a Windows 7 PC that is setup for registering PPSR or if you need assistance to set up please contact Jayne on 03 693 1121 option 3 or email jayne@hhaassociates.co.nz.

This problem is being worked on by PPSR and Intersoft Systems Limited with all resources.

Today, it has come to our attention that if you are using finPOWER 5 you may be experiencing an error message when doing registrations through PPSR.

We have escalated this to Intersoft Systems Ltd and it is a major priority.  The PPSR G2B web site is also aware of the current situation and we will be in contact with you as soon as we know more.
