Web Freight Scheduler
One year on - what a ride!
Much of what we have done over the past year with Web Freight Scheduler has been driven by our users - you ask for it, we make it happen.  We have worked closely with dispatchers to add features that help them work smarter.
  • Electronic Job Dockets - integration with AMS: we make it simple for dispatchers and drivers alike
  • Advanced Searching and viewing full details of previous jobs - find the information you need simply
  • Automatic roll over jobs that don't get done - at a click of a button.  It is that simple
  • Colour coded places - see at a glance where your jobs are being picked up and delivered to
  • Our "Diary Notes" - make it simple to schedule your recurring jobs and keep track of large jobs.  This feature has been extremely popular with dispatchers saving them time and making it easier for them to do their job.

  • Integration with Teletrac Navman - job docket information shared directly with the latest Teletrac Navman in-cab devies;
  • Keeping track of sub-contractor costs relating to quotes and jobs;
  • Additional charges - making it easier to apply additional charges to jobs to plug revenue leakage - for example, tail lift and hiab charges, blower and weighbridge charges;
  • Working with our customers to take the next step from Electronic Job Dockets.
From Sarah there are two highlights from the past year:
  1. When we went live with electronic job dockets and I went to our client for post implementation review they did not ask for any changes.  They moved from a paper based process to an electronic process, and have not needed any changes to the user software since we went live (we made changes to the software that communicates with the AMS server, but that is because of things like dealing with internet outage on the server).
  2. The last time I caught up with one of our dispatchers in person, he told me he had thrown out his paper day sheets and that the system has saved him so much time.

Recently Sarah was interviewed regarding our integration from our web-based freight scheduling system to AMS mobile app platform.

HHA Software Analyst Sarah Bennett saw the potential to integrate mobile forms into HHA's web-based freight scheduling system in use at Rural Transport.  Key to this was the API provided by the AMS mobile app platform.

"The biggest benefit to us was that we didn't need to have any mobile development expertise," Sarah says.  "The AMS API enabled us to integrate mobile forms into our existing freight scheduling software.  We can make available any fields our customers might need."

There was another critical benefit: device neutrality.  "AMS supports IOS and Android, so we can be sure the app will work on a huge range of devices," Sarah says.  "It's also very intuitive, so drivers need very little training."

Electronic Signatures

The finPOWER Connect Electronic Signature module allows you to get your loan documents signed quicker and more efficiently providing a faster turn around of applications and loan approvals.

Signatories are notified via email or SMS that a document is awaiting signature.  They can then "sign on glass" or insert their own signature to complete the signature process.  The documents are returned to finPOWER Connect to be easily accessed from the Client Account file.

MYOB|IMS Payroll version update
You should be receiving an email with the new version of MYOB|IMS Payroll 6.21.  There are step by step instructions on how to upgrade to version 6.21 within the email.

Important;
We recommend that you don’t un-install earlier versions of IMS Payroll, as any custom payroll software or modules will need to be reinstalled.

It’s also a good idea to keep this email so you can easily refer to it if you need to install this upgrade on a new computer or server.

Accounts Update

We have been in touch with all of our clients that have over due accounts, thank you to those that have paid or set up a payment plan to clear these accounts, this is very much appreciated.

Our Accounts department have now introduced another direct debit run on the 10th of the month and those affected have been advised.  This now gives us direct debit runs on the 10th, 20th and 30th of the month.  For those that would like to pay their software license fees via direct debit please contact us on accounts@hhaassociates.co.nz to obtain a direct debit form.  This way of paying is not only easier for you, but will help ensure you don't fall behind on your license fees.

Intersoft Systems Limited has increased their License Fees and Modules as at 1 November 2017 for finPOWER and finPOWER Connect.  Those affected will notice an increase in their monthly license fee invoice.  Those on support agreements these will be adjusted in accordance with the new license fee.  Any queries please let us know.
